Everything is delivered in six weeks, in writing
Wedding and event photography with the coverage hours, the second shooter and the delivery date fixed in the contract rather than discussed afterwards.
The work
Six frames from six weddings. The full sets go to the couples, not here.
Everything you would otherwise argue about, in the contract
Almost every complaint about a wedding photographer is about something that was never written down. How many hours were actually covered, whether the second shooter named in the pitch was the person who turned up, how many edited frames were promised, and when they would arrive — all of it agreed warmly over coffee and none of it in the contract. So ours states each one: the hours, the people by name, the number of edited images and a delivery date with a discount attached if we miss it.
Nine years, counted
How a wedding commission runs
Four stages. The first two happen before you pay anything.
The date
You ask, and within the day you get a straight yes or no. If a date is already held we say so immediately rather than keeping an enquiry warm while a better booking is decided — which is a thing that happens in this trade and should not.
The conversation
An hour, in person or on a call, about the events rather than the photographs. Who matters, what will be chaotic, which relatives will not be there next year. This is where the coverage hours in the contract come from.
The days
The photographers named in your contract, and no substitutions without your written agreement. We shoot two cards in parallel in every body, and the cards are backed up to two drives before we leave the venue.
Delivery
A gallery within six weeks with the contracted minimum of edited frames, downloadable at full resolution and yours to print anywhere. Raw files are kept for three years and released on request.
Kumbhalgarh, March
The contract named the two people who would photograph us and both of them turned up, which sounds like a low bar until you have heard what happened to our friends. The gallery arrived at thirty-one days against a promised forty-two. My grandmother died in July and the frames of her at the mehendi are the reason I will recommend them for the rest of my life.
Check a date
You will get a straight yes or no within the day. If we are already booked we will say so and name two studios in Udaipur we would send our own family to.
